Short answer: Usually the page needs a login, the store blocks outside readers, or the link is not a single product page.
  • Open the link in a private window. If it asks you to log in, that is the problem.
  • Use the link to the exact product.
  • Or type the details in yourself. Every route has a No link? option.
When you paste a link, UGCFirst opens your product page and reads the description, the photos and the claims. Sometimes it cannot.

Why it happens

The page needs a login. Draft products, password-protected stores and members-only pages cannot be opened from outside. If you cannot open the link in a private browser window, neither can we. The store blocks outside readers. Some platforms block anything that is not a person with a browser. Nothing is wrong with your link — that store will not answer. The page is not a product page. A collection page, a category or a homepage listing several products does not have one product to read.

The three ways round it

1

Check the link opens for a stranger

Copy it into a private or incognito window. If it asks you to log in, or shows nothing, that is the problem. Publish the product or use a different link.
2

Use a more specific link

If the page lists several products, open the one you mean and copy that address instead. Where a product was found but it is the wrong one, press Not right? Use a different link.
3

Type the details in yourself

Every route has this. On Autopilot it is No link? Add product details manually; in Manual Mode it is No link? Enter details manually. This works perfectly well. You are supplying what would have been read off the page — the name, what it does, what is good about it. Be specific about the problem it solves, because that is what the script is built from.

Once it has worked

The product is saved under Products and you never have to do this again — the research is kept and reused. See adding and reusing products.
