Short answer: Signing up is free and puts you on Pay as you go: no monthly fee, and you buy credits when you need them. A monthly plan (Hook, Riff or Encore) gives you credits every month at a better rate.
  • Not sure which? Start low. Upgrading takes effect straight away.
  • Paying yearly gives you 2 months free. Paying quarterly, every 3 months, also costs less than paying monthly.
Signing up costs nothing. You start on Pay as you go, which has no monthly fee — you buy credits when you want them and nothing is charged until you do. A plan makes sense once you are making ads regularly, because the credits included work out cheaper than buying the same number as packs.

What the plans cost

Pay as you go includes no credits of its own. There is no free trial and no free video each month — you only ever pay for what you make.

Which one fits

Think in ads per month rather than in credits.
  • Hook suits testing the water. Its 200 credits are two full UGC videos, or twenty image ads, or a mix of both.
  • Riff suits running ads properly. Its 550 credits stretch to five full UGC videos with enough left for a few image ads. It is the one marked Most Popular in the app.
  • Encore suits several products, or more than one store. Its 1,300 credits are thirteen full UGC videos.
If you are not sure, start lower. Moving up takes effect straight away, and you only pay the difference for the rest of your billing period, so there is no cost to guessing low first.

Paying for a year at a time

Every plan can be paid yearly instead of monthly. Paying yearly gives you 2 months free compared with paying month by month — you pay for ten months and get twelve.

Paying every 3 months

Every plan can also be paid quarterly: one payment every 3 months. It costs less than paying for the same 3 months one month at a time. The table above shows each price. Whichever way you pay, your credits arrive every month. Paying for 3 months or a year at a time does not give you those credits up front. Already on a monthly plan? You can switch to quarterly or yearly from Settings. How that works is in changing or cancelling your plan.

Which presenters you can use

Avatar videos use a presenter: a face that delivers your script. Which ones you can pick depends on your plan, and the better ones cost more credits.

You are not locked in

You can move up, move down or stop whenever you want. What happens to your credits when you do is covered in changing or cancelling your plan.
