Short answer: The review screen is the only point where credits are taken. It shows the Style and Playbook chosen for you, what will be made, a forecast score, and the total cost.
  • Generate ad spends the credits and starts making it.
  • Cancel costs nothing, and the research is kept.
  • Too much? Pick a shorter length or turn captions off.
After the research finishes, you get one screen before anything is made. It is the only point where credits are taken, so it is worth understanding. Nothing has been charged yet. You can read this screen for as long as you like, or walk away from it.

What is on it

The strategy we chose. Which platforms the ad is aimed at, the main selling angle, the Style (how the ad looks) and the Playbook (how the story is told). If either word is new, see choosing a Style and choosing a Playbook. What we’ll make. The details of the video, including how long it is. You can switch between the lengths offered here. Forecast. The Virality score: a number out of 100 for how well this concept should do, worked out from how similar ads perform. A word beside it sums it up — Weak, Moderate, Strong or Exceptional. If the app had less to go on, a Reduced precision note appears and the number turns amber. As it says on screen, it is a guide and not a promise. Treat a low score as a reason to look again at the angle, not as a reason to give up on the product. Total cost. The credits this will use, and what you will have left afterwards. This is the number to check.

The two buttons

Generate ad takes the credits and starts making it. Cancel costs you nothing. The research is kept, so coming back to the same product later does not mean paying for it twice.

If the total is more than you wanted

Three things you can change from here, in the order worth trying:
  1. Pick a shorter length. The lengths are on this screen. A shorter ad costs less and often performs no worse.
  2. Turn captions off. That saves 10 credits. Worth keeping if you can afford them — most people watch with the sound off.
  3. Set a ceiling. Cost controls pauses any run that would cost more than a figure you set, so nothing expensive ever reaches this screen unannounced.

After you approve

The ad moves to My ads and shows as Making. You do not have to wait on the page — see how long an ad takes.
