# Get your free score before you spend anything

> Paste a product link and find out how much ad potential it has. Free, no card, about two minutes.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Short answer:** Paste a link to your product and UGCFirst scores how much ad potential it has, out of 100. It takes about two minutes and it is free: no card, no credits.
>
> * The score is a guide, not a promise.
> * A weak score usually means the product page needs more photos or clearer claims.

Before you buy a single credit, you can find out whether your product is worth advertising.

Paste the link. UGCFirst reads the product page, looks at your market, and scores how much ad potential it sees. It's free and it doesn't use credits.

## What it costs

Nothing. No card, no credits, no plan. This is the one thing in UGCFirst that's completely free.

## How to do it

**1. Copy your product link**

Open your product page in your store and copy the address from the top of the browser.

It works with Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Etsy, WooCommerce, and most other stores. It needs to be a page anyone can open — not one behind a login.

**2. Paste it in**

On the home page, paste the link into the box and press **Get free UGC Score**. You'll be asked to make a free account first. It needs an email, not a card.

**3. Check it found the right product, then wait about two minutes**

UGCFirst shows the product it found and its photos. If it's right, press **Looks right — research it**.

Then UGCFirst reads your product page, the photos, and the claims you're making. Then it looks at who's buying products like yours and what those ads say.

**4. Read the score**

You'll get a score out of 100 and a short explanation of what it found — the angles worth trying, and who the buyer looks like.

## What the score means

It's a read on how much ad potential the product has, based on how similar products perform.

The score comes with a word:

| Score | Word on screen | Roughly means |
| - | - | - |
| 80 and over | **Exceptional** | A rare one. Worth putting money behind. |
| 60–79 | **Strong** | Worth putting money behind. |
| 40–59 | **Moderate** | It can work. The right angle matters more here. |
| Under 40 | **Weak** | Harder. The product page may need work first. |

Beside it is a narrow range, such as *63–67 · out of 100*. If the app had less to go on, the number turns amber and a **Reduced precision** note appears.

**It's a guide, not a promise.** A high score doesn't guarantee sales, and a low score doesn't mean the product can't work. It's telling you where the easier wins probably are.

## What to do next

If the score looks good, [make your first ad](https://ugcfirst.com/help/getting-started/first-ad.md). The research is already done — UGCFirst keeps it.

If it looks weak, that's useful too. It usually means the product page isn't giving enough to work with: too few photos, no clear claims, no obvious problem being solved. Fixing the page often helps the ads more than changing the ad does.

## If it doesn't work

**"We couldn't read that page"** — the link may need a login, or the store may block outside readers. Try a different product, or add the details yourself.

**The product it found is wrong** — some pages list several products. Press **Not right? Use a different link** and paste a more specific one.
