# Which Style should you choose?

> Style is the visual world your ad lives in. What each of the six does and the products each one suits.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Short answer:** A Style is how your ad looks. If you are not sure, let Autopilot choose.
>
> * **Natural UGC** when the product needs to be trusted. Start here.
> * **Cinematic** when it should look expensive.
> * **Talking Object / Pet** or **Clay Motion** for fun, kids' or pet products.
> * **Anime / Manga** for a crowded, young feed.

**Style** is how the ad looks — the visual world it lives in. It is separate from the **Playbook**, which is how the story is told. You pick one of each.

If you are not sure, Autopilot picks for you based on what your market responds to. That is usually the right call for your first few ads.

## The Styles

**Natural UGC** — a real person, a real room, a real recommendation. Phone-native framing, imperfect but believable. Suits everyday products where trust carries the sale. If you only ever use one, use this one.

**Cinematic** — controlled lighting, polished product movement, premium composition. Macro detail and slow motion. Suits beauty, skincare, tech, jewellery and fragrance — anything where the product should look expensive.

**Talking Object / Pet** — the product, a mascot or a pet does the talking. Playful. Suits gifts, novelty, pet and children's products.

**Clay Motion** — a tactile, clay-like animated world with playful transformations. Suits toys, food and drink, and colourful or youthful brands.

**Anime / Manga** — expressive faces, dynamic angles, speed lines. Built for crowded feeds and younger buyers. One warning the app gives: the product has to stay legible, and this Style is a poor fit for strong health or beauty transformation claims.

**Avatar Spokesperson** — a consistent host presenting straight to camera. This one is its own route rather than a Style you pick inside the others — see [making an ad with a presenter](https://ugcfirst.com/help/creating/how-to-make-an-ad-with-a-presenter.md).

## If you are making image ads

Image ads have their own two Styles. You see them in Manual Mode when you choose **Image ads**.

**Static Graphic** — a bold designed graphic with words on it. Suits offers, comparisons and calling out a feature.

**Lifestyle Photo** — your product in a real setting that people want to be in. Suits clothing, home, lifestyle and accessories.

## Two more on the way

**Brick-Built Toy** and **Storybook Animated** both show as coming soon. They are not available yet.

## How to decide

Start with what the product needs doing to it.

| If the product… | Try |
| - | - |
| needs to be trusted | Natural UGC |
| needs to look expensive | Cinematic |
| is fun, odd, or for kids or pets | Talking Object / Pet, or Clay Motion |
| is competing in a crowded young feed | Anime / Manga |

You can see every Style with a real example ad under **Explore** — see [browsing Styles and Playbooks](https://ugcfirst.com/help/managing/browsing-styles-and-playbooks.md).
