# Which Playbook should you choose?

> A Playbook is the running order of your ad. What each of the eight does and when it is the right one.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Short answer:** A Playbook is how your ad tells its story, step by step. If you are not sure, pick **Problem / Solution**. It opens on a problem and shows your product fixing it, and it works for most products.
>
> * Or let Autopilot choose.
> * Every ad is labelled Style · Playbook, so you can see what worked.

A **Playbook** is how the ad is told — the story beats, in order. It is separate from the **Style**, which is how the ad looks.

Every ad you make is labelled with both, like *Natural UGC · Pattern Interrupt*, so you can see at a glance what a given ad was.

In Manual Mode each Playbook shows its actual running order, so you can see what you are choosing before you commit.

Once you have picked a Style, each Playbook also carries a badge saying how well the two go together: **Great fit**, **Good fit**, **Workable** or **Not advised**. You can still run a Not advised pair. The app is telling you a Great fit pairing will likely land better.

## The eight

**Authentic Testimonial** — *Hook → Product proof → Benefit proof → Objection answer → Soft CTA.* Builds trust and makes the product feel personally recommended. Use it when reviews and real use are what sell the thing.

**Problem / Solution** — *Hook → Consequence → Product intro → Demo → CTA.* Opens on the pain, then interrupts it. The most versatile of the eight, and a sensible default.

**Product Spotlight** — *Hook → Feature reveal → Benefit translation → Hero shot → CTA.* Makes the product the hero. Texture, packaging, detail. Use it when the product is good-looking.

**Day in the Life** — *Hook → Context → Use moment 1 → Use moment 2 → End state CTA.* Shows repeat use and natural fit. Use it for things people use often.

**Rapid-Fire Listicle** — *Hook → Reason 1 → Reason 2 → Reason 3 → CTA.* Stacks value quickly. Use it when the product has several features worth naming.

**Unboxing** — *Hook → Opening → First impression → First use → Satisfaction CTA.* Builds anticipation and first-touch trust. Use it when the packaging is part of the appeal.

**Us vs Them Comparison** — *Hook → Comparison axis 1 → Comparison axis 2 → Outcome → CTA.* Makes the case for switching. Use it against a generic alternative or an old way of doing things.

**Pattern Interrupt** — *Hook → Relevance bridge → Product reveal → Practical payoff → CTA.* Stops the scroll with an unexpected first second. Use it in crowded categories.

## If you are not sure

Pick **Problem / Solution**. It works for most products and it is a fair baseline to judge the others against. Or let Autopilot choose and see what it picks.
