# Buying extra credits

> How to buy a credit pack when you run low, what each pack costs, and why pack credits never expire.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Short answer:** Press **Buy credits** at the bottom left of the app, pick a pack and pay by card through Stripe. The credits arrive straight away.
>
> * Pack credits never expire, even if you cancel a plan.
> * Your monthly plan credits are always used up first.

If you run out part-way through the month, or you are on Pay as you go and do not want a monthly plan, you buy credits as a one-off pack.

## What the packs cost

| Pack | Price | Credits | Enough for |
| - | - | - | - |
| Mini Boost | \$9.99 | 100 | 1 UGC video or 10 image ads |
| Quick Boost | \$19.99 | 200 | 2 UGC videos or 20 image ads |
| Campaign Pack (Popular) | \$49.99 | 500 | 5 UGC videos or 50 image ads |
| Scale Pack | \$99.99 | 1,000 | 10 UGC videos or 100 image ads |

## How to buy one

**1. Open the credits panel**

Bottom left of the app, under the menu, you will see your balance and a **Buy credits** button. Press it.

**2. Pick a pack**

Each pack is listed with what it is enough to make.

**3. Pay**

Checkout is handled securely by Stripe. You will need a card.

**4. Check your balance**

The credits arrive straight away. Your balance bottom left should go up by the size of the pack.

## Pack credits never expire

This is the main difference between pack credits and plan credits.

Credits you buy as a pack stay in your account until you spend them. They do not expire. They are not affected when you change plan. They are still there if you cancel.

Plan credits work differently — see [do credits expire](https://ugcfirst.com/help/billing/do-credits-expire.md).

## Which credits get used first

Plan credits. UGCFirst always spends your monthly plan credits before it touches pack credits, so the ones with a time limit get used up first and the permanent ones stay where they are.

You do not have to do anything to make that happen.

## If the payment does not go through

Nothing is charged and no credits are added, so it is safe to try again.

The usual cause is the bank declining the payment rather than anything being wrong with the card. Try again, or use a different card. If it keeps failing, your bank will normally tell you why faster than we can.
